CCPSA District Council 010
Pilsen & North Lawndale
I was born and primarily raised in the 10th District in the Lawndale community, where I currently reside and work as a Youth & Community Advocate! Because I’ve been on both sides of the spectrum, I know exactly what it’s like to be harassed by the police as well as to call on them and NOT receive the help, assistance or protection that I needed!
I am Elianne “Ely” Bahena, a proud daughter of immigrant parents from Guerrero, Mexico, a first-generation college graduate, and a passionate Latina leader from La Villita, who strives to empower and bring justice to my community. I have worked in the nonprofit sector for more than seven years, advocating for the protection of domestic violence survivors and for the rights of immigrant communities across Illinois. This year, I began a new position at the 22nd Ward Public Service Office, where I serve as the Director of Policy and Community Outreach.
Rosemarie Dominguez comes from a legacy of activism from her family, which began through the Pilsen Parishes. Born and raised in Little Village, Rosemarie remains an advocate for the people. She is a proud graduate of the Multicultural Arts High School (LVLHS) and shares family lineage with those who helped fight for the school.

With 20 plus years of community engagement, Rosie’s parents have always instilled to stay grounded in her communities and rooted in the people. Today she fights for access, housing rights, and safety among other issues plaguing our communities.
